ESIC Medical Benefits is applicable to not only the employees working in the organization but also to their families. ESIC Medical Benefits can be divided as following:
- Complete Medical Care: Under this type of benefit, the patients enjoy all kinds of hospitalization facilities like medicines, dressings, medical diets etc free of cost.
- Prolonged Medical Attention: ESIC benefits for employees include this kind of service also under which even the patients who are not hospitalized enjoy free medicines, lab tests, X-Ray examinations like facilities.
- Immunization: ESIC benefits for employees include immunization facilities. These programs are designed keeping in mind the requirement of young children. Thus, the insured employee of the organization can get all preventive vaccine and inoculations free of cost for varioys diseases like TB, measles, polio, tetanus, pertussis etc.
- Family Welfare Services: just as the immunization programs introduced by the Corporation, Family Welfare Services are also offered to its employees. There are 180 such centers all over other than having reserved as many as 330 beds in various hospitals for its employees and their families in case of emergency. The corporation has conducted 828976 sterilization operations so far. One can see that the ESIC offers cash incentives to those who cannot benefit by such services. Additionally, seven days of complete wage is given to patients who undergo tubectomy and vasectomy operations.
- Special Aid: ESIC benefits for employees include providing special aid like hearing aids, spinal support, walking calipers, cervical collars, crutches, cardiac pace makers and wheel chairs like artificial appliances for support. All these aids are offered not only to the employees but also to their families.
